Caroline Webb will never be able to forgive or forget the shocking loss of her beloved first child. Five year old Hayley Webb was kidnapped and beheaded; her murderer was never caught. The nightmare tore Caroline's marriage apart yet she rebuilt her life, remarrying happily and having two more children – Greg and Melinda. Suddenly, on what would have been Hayley's twenty-fifth birthday a bizarre series of events begins and Caroline knows the nightmare is about to begin again. A murderer is on the loose and it is becoming apparent that his seemingly random victims are all connected with Hayley's death.
